  1. Click the drop-down arrow to the right of Random Dalnet, scroll down the list to Undernet: CA, US, SanDiego and select it. (Most servers will work, but this particular server is one of the most reliable.)

  2. In the Full Name text box, type your name.
  3. In the E-Mail Address text box, type your email address. For example: username@activecom.net
  4. In the Nickname text box, type your Active username or some other name by which you would like to be known on IRC.
  5. In the Alternative text box, type another name that you would like to be known by on IRC, in case your name is already taken on a particular network at any point.

  6. Choose the Options tab.
  7. Check Retry.
  8. Set Retry to 10 times.
  9. Set Default Port to 6669.

  10. Choose the Identd tab.
  11. Check Enable Identd Server.
  12. In the User ID text box, type your Active username.

  13. Click the OK button.
  14. From the File menu, choose Connect.
