- Click the drop-down arrow to the right of Random Dalnet, scroll down
the list to Undernet: CA, US, SanDiego and select it. (Most servers
will work, but this particular server is one of the most reliable.)
- In the Full Name text box, type your name.
- In the E-Mail Address text box, type your email address. For example:
username@activecom.net
- In the Nickname text box, type your Active username or some other
name by which you would like to be known on IRC.
- In the Alternative text box, type another name that you would like
to be known by on IRC, in case your name is already taken on a particular
network at any point.
- Choose the Options tab.
- Check Retry.
- Set Retry to 10 times.
- Set Default Port to 6669.
- Choose the Identd tab.
- Check Enable Identd Server.
- In the User ID text box, type your Active username.
- Click the OK button.
- From the File menu, choose Connect.
