  • Open Outlook Express.

Configure Mail Settings

  1. In the Display name text box, type your name.

  2. Click the Next button.
  3. Select I already have an e-mail address that I'd like to use.
  4. In the E-mail address text box, type your e-mail address (for example, username@activecom.net)

  5. Click the Next button.
  6. From the My incoming mail server is a __ server list, choose POP3.
  7. In the Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server text box, type mail.activecom.net.
  8. In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server text box, type mail.activecom.net.

  9. Click the Next button.
  10. In the Account name text box, type your Active username.
  11. In the Password text box, type your Active password.
  12. Check Remember password, if desired.

  13. Click the Next button.

  14. Click the Finish button.

Configure News Settings

  1. In the Display name text box, type your name.

  2. Click the Next button.
  3. In the E-mail address text box, type your e-mail address (for example, username@activecom.net)

  4. Click the Next button.
  5. In the News (NNTP) server text box, type news.activecom.net
  6. Check My news server requires me to log on.

  7. Click the Next button.
  8. In the Account name text box, type your Active e-mail address @activecom.net
  9. In the Password text box, type your Active password.
  10. Check Remember password, if desired.

  11. Click the Next button.

  12. Click the Finish button.
