Microsoft Outlook Express News Setup


  1. Click the Start button, point to Programs, point to Internet Explorer, and choose Outlook Express

  2. Click the OK button.

  3. Click the Read News icon.

  4. If you wish to make Outlook Express your default news program, click the Yes button.
  5. In the Display name box, type your name.

  6. Click the Next button.
  7. In the E-mail address box, type your e-mail address.

  8. Click the Next button.
  9. In the News (NNTP) server box, type news.activecom.net.
  10. Check My news server requires me to log on.

  11. Click the Next button.
  12. Select Log on using: News account name
  13. In the News account name box, type your Active e-mail address (make sure to include the @activecom.net)
  14. In the Password box, type your e-mail password.

  15. Click the Next button.
  16. In the Internet news account name box, type Active News
  17. Click the Next button.
  18. Select Connect using my phone line.

  19. Click the Next button.
  20. Select Use an existing dial-up connection.
  21. Select your Activecom dial-up connection.

  22. Click the Next button.

  23. Click the Finish button.

  24. Click the Yes button.

  25. Click the Yes button.
